Help Us Support At-Risk Students

North Cook Intermediate Service Center (NCISC) is proud to administer a grant dedicated to supporting the educational needs of homeless students.  However, many urgent family needs fall outside the grant’s restrictions. That is why NCISC has established an Emergency Fund to provide immediate assistance for the growing number of homeless and at-risk youth in our region.

Vital services such as housing financial assistance, food security, medical care, and childcare are shrinking. This will disrupt our student’s ability to learn as it affects vulnerable families, many of whom are already struggling to make ends meet. As the cost of housing, food, and the basic necessities continue to rise, so does the need for emergency support. Your donation can make a critical difference.

With your help, we can provide:

  • Temporary motel stays for a family that has no shelter
  • Car repairs, so a parent can commute to work
  • A space heater for a home without heat
  • Mattresses, sheets, or other essential household items
  • Several other needs that arise due to homelessness

Every dollar helps families regain stability and restore hope. Requests for assistance come through school districts and partner agencies in our region and are evaluated individually to ensure support goes where it’s needed most.

Your donation, no matter the size, will directly support protecting our students' education. Thank you for your compassion and support.
