Mental Health First Aid Training

Please join us at North Cook for a presentation from Christine Somervill, Ph.D., Program Director at the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) on Friday, February 21, 2020.

Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches educators how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance-use disorders.

The training gives participants the skills needed to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance-use problem or is experiencing a crisis.
