Custom Professional Learning & Support

Led by nationally trained presenter Julie Revello, Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is:

1. Experiencing a mental health or addiction(s) challenge; or
2. Is in crisis.

Youth Mental Health First Aid is primarily designed for adults who regularly interact with young people. The course introduces common mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychosis may occur, disruptive behavior disorders (including ADHD), and eating disorders. 

Each training is capped at 30 people, NCISC can set up multiple days of training throughout the school year to ensure all staff receive the training). Participants receive a YMHFA Manual, the Participant Processing Guide and YMHFA Certificate.

There is about 20-minutes of prep work required for this course that must be completed a few days prior to the session, which the presenter would send in advance.This is a great training for paraprofessionals, bus drivers, assistants, and all teachers and leaders!

Communication Styles is a type of behavioral interpersonal training/model used by many Fortune 500 companies and non-profit organizations. It is a tool used for understanding our basic, default behaviors and the impact we have on others. It can help predict how different people like to be treated based on four communication styles. At the end of the training, participants will be able to:

• Learn how others perceive their behavior and communication style
• Anticipate behavior preferences of colleagues and staff members
• Develop awareness about behavioral strengths and improvement areas

• Reduce conflict and tension when interacting with others

This 2.5 hour training is led by Amy Stewart, an ICF certified coach and international leadership and wellbeing coach, with multiple years of experience coaching individuals across all levels and functions at Fortune 500 and non-profit organizations.

The Working Genius session created by Patrick Lencioni and the Table Group is a great opportunity for any team looking to leverage and maximize productivity, clarity and fulfillment in their work. The session is designed for teams to learn how to apply the Six Types of Working Genius teamwork model. This Working Genuis model highlights the abilities needed for any kind of work into six categories, so people can quickly identify their talents and tasks that make them thrive and avoid work that leads to frustration and burnout.

This workshop is best for teams of 4-15 that regularly work together and is designed to be highly interactive. Individuals will complete a Working Genius assessment and the facilitator will guide teams through team mapping to identify their talents and competencies, as a whole.
