T-SIP (Targeted School Improvement Planning)

  • Focus

T-SIP (Targeted School Improvement Planning) is one of many services that North Cook ISC can provide to schools in our region. Under the new ESSA requirements, schools that have been designated as Tier III (Underperforming) or Tier IV (Lowest Performing) are required to create a School Improvement Plan. In response to these requirements, North Cook ISC, in collaboration with West and South Cook ISCs, has created a school improvement planning process and materials to help such schools.

Currently, North Cook has 36 schools with a preliminary designation of Tier III and no schools with a Tier IV designation. Designated schools will receive IL Empower funding from the State to help them develop and implement their school improvement plans. They may choose from a list of IL Empower Approved Providers; North Cook ISC is an approved provider and is ready to assist our schools.
