A Day in the Life of (DILO) Resource from The Council of Chief State School Officers and Chiefs for Change (July 2020)
This simulation follows a couple of typical students through a day in their lives from the moment they get to their bus stops until they return home and poses questions for school districts to consider at each unique juncture of the day. It is well crafted and thought provoking.
Learning Over Logistics: Initial Planning Framework for Reopening Schools (06/29/2020)
Developed collaboratively with IASA, IASBO and IPA, the intention of this document is to provide a framework for conversations and planning. The framework is intended to provide key questions from a broad perspective and allow every district to go as narrow from that point as is appropriate given their opportunities and challenges.
Considerations for Reopening School- Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (published April 2020)
Though this document was published back in April, the authors did an excellent job of developing a comprehensive list of questions for schools/districts to consider for planning for the 20-21 school year. The document is organized by 22 topics (such as: Facility Preparations, Communications, Visitor Procedures, Curriculum & Assessment, etcetera) with about a dozen questions for consideration under each one. It also includes a list of resources at the end. Well worth a read!

Published in early April and focused on businesses, as opposed to the public sector, this article provides strategic planning guidance that can be applied in numerous settings.
