Assessment of Interscholastic Athletic Programs and Personnel: Athletic Administration (ISBE #634)

THIS COURSE QUALIFIES FOR ADMINISTRATOR ACADEMY CREDIT AND NATIONAL INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATORS’ ASSOCIATION CREDIT - LEADERSHIP TRAINING COURSE. This workshop examines both the theory and practice of assessment of athletic programs and personnel. It will help educational leaders to improve the performance of athletic coaches and other athletic department personnel, improve program operations and increase satisfaction among players, parents and employees.

Start Date:12/3/2010  8:30 am
Program:In this course, you will examine a philosophical rationale for assessment in high school sports programs, discuss basic statistical concepts, focus on affect assessment and detail various program assessment techniques. Participants will also receive the related AAA course materials. Athletic programs are quite complex and the leader is faced with a number of challenges: many different programs operating simultaneously and many part-time coaches and other staff.
