Start Date:10/19/2010  8:30am
Program:Designed especially for school and district administrators, this Academy will focus on the latest research demonstrating specific differences between boys and girls, how they develop, and how they learn. The presentation will include PowerPoint, cooperative group participation and you will receive a copy of Boys and Girls Learn Differently by Michael Gurian. The day will end with the creation of an action plan in which you will review your school to determine if a gap exists between genders and if there is a gap, what is revealed by disaggregating data according to ethnicity, poverty, or disability.
