Are you a first-year principal in your school, department chair, AP, program leader? This course is designed for new principals as well as those new to other leadership roles and experienced leaders interested in taking a fresh look at the principalship.

Program:Research consistently demonstrates the critical role of the principal in student learning and the overall success of a school That role is incredibly complex and extensive, leaving new principals with a great deal to learn and sort through in the first crucial weeks and months of their work. In this workshop, new, aspiring and experienced principal participants will explore the differences between management and leadership; building school identity; personnel practices; instructional leadership; successful leadership of and interaction with students and community; and, maintaining personal well-being. Workshop fee includes Dr. Hebert’s book.
