Two Day - Introduction to the Evaluation of Certified Staff (ISBE #1000)

Public School Administrators who evaluate certified staff are required by state law (105 ILCS 5/24A) to complete this course prior to beginning any evaluations. Please note this requirement also applies to experienced administrators who are new to Illinois schools.

Program:		The course will provide administrators with the knowledge and skills to supervise and evaluate certified staff including administrators, teachers and school service personnel. This course includes both a pre-instruction reading assignment as well as a practical application component, totaling 18 hours of course-related work. Following registration, participants will receive a packet of course information including the pre-instruction reading assignment. This course does not satisfy the annual Academy requirement unless it is being taken as a refresher by a participant that has completed the course at an earlier time.
